New "Business Plan in Agriculture" grants awarded in Skopje

New

Skopje, 15 December 2023 (MIA) - Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy Ljupcho Nikolovski awarded on Friday 206 grants to farmers within the new "Business Plan in Agriculture" measure. The grants, which are part of the 2023 Rural Development Program, were awarded to farmers who are beneficiaries of the support, in the form of co-financing in the amount of up to EUR 10,000 per beneficiary.

PM Kovachevski pointed out that a stable and successful state is a state that relies on its own resources. He noted that it is the farmers who enable the country to rely on its own resources and to use all potentials and resources for the benefit of its citizens.

"This gives farmers the opportunity to purchase agricultural equipment, including beekeeping equipment, silos, equipment for production facilities for food of animal or non-animal origin, and a wide range of other types of equipment," said Kovachevski.

Agriculture Minister Nikolovski noted that out of 206 grants, 121 are awarded to young farmers.

"In addition, out of 206 grants, 121 are awarded to women, so the focus we put on young people and women is confirmed by facts that they are interested, that the agricultural sector is growing and that women are more and more interested in agricultural production," Nikolovski said among other.
