NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg holds tête-à-tête meeting with PM Kovachevski after welcoming ceremony
- After a welcoming ceremony in front of the Government building, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is to hold a tête-à-tête meeting with Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, followed by a bilateral meeting between the two delegations.
Skopje, 21 November 2023 (MIA) – After a welcoming ceremony in front of the Government building, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is to hold a tête-à-tête meeting with Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, followed by a bilateral meeting between the two delegations.
The Macedonian delegation includes Defence Minister Slavjanka Petrovska, Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani, Minister of Information Society and Administration, Azir Aliu, and the Ambassador of North Macedonia to NATO, Dane Taleski.
Kovachevski and Stoltenberg will hold a joint press conference after the meetings.
Stoltenberg arrived for a two-day visit to Skopje as part of his Western Balkans tour.
Later on Tuesday, the Secretary General will hold a meeting with Speaker Talat Xhaferi and address the Parliament of North Macedonia. Stoltenberg will also meet with President Stevo Pendarovski.
On Wednesday, Stoltenberg and Kovachevski will meet in Skopje with the leaders of NATO countries from the region – the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama; the President of Croatia, Zoran Milanović; the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milojko Spajić; and the Prime Minister of Slovenia, Robert Golob.
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Sunday, kicking off a mini tour of four Western Balkan countries. The Secretary General departed Monday afternoon to Kosovo and on Tuesday morning he visited Serbia, followed by his visit to North Macedonia later in the day.
