National Bank: Net external debt down €106 million in Q3 2025
- The National Bank released data on significant changes in external debt, external claims and the international investment position for the end of the third quarter of 2025.
Skopje, 29 December 2025 (MIA) – The National Bank released data on significant changes in external debt, external claims and the international investment position for the end of the third quarter of 2025.

“On 30 September 2025, net external debt stood at €4.494 billion (or 27.1% of projected GDP). In the third quarter of 2025, the net external debt decreased by €106 million, or 2.3%. In terms of structure, private net debt continues to have a larger share of total net debt at 67%,” the National Bank said in a press release.
During the third quarter of 2025, the negative net international investment position (IIP) decreased by €250 million, reaching €8.738 million or 52.7% of the projected GDP for 2025.
