Skopje, 28 February 2026 (MIA) – We stand with our American allies in confronting destabilizing threats in the Middle East, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade has said.

“The United States has made clear that diplomacy is always the first option – but deterrence remains essential when credible risks persist. Security, stability, and accountability go hand in hand,” he wrote Saturday in a post on X, formerly Twitter. 

At the same time, Mucunski added, our embassies and consular teams across the region are actively engaged and working to support and assist our citizens, ensuring their safety and providing all necessary consular assistance.

The US and Israel struck targets across Iran on Saturday, including on the capital Tehran, prompting a wave of missile launched by Iranian forces towards Israel, as the tensions between the countries exploded into open conflict.
