Mucunski meets with Brnabić, Momirović, confirming bilateral ties with no open issues

Skopje, 4 September 2024 (MIA) — Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski as part of an official delegation on a working visit to Serbia met with Serbian Parliamentary Speaker Ana Brnabić and Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade Toma Momirović.

 

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade in a press release, both meetings confirmed the excellent friendly relations between the two countries, cooperation in various areas as well as the continued political dialogue without open issues.

 

At the meeting with Parliament Speaker Brnabić, Minister Mucunski thanked Serbia for the help North Macedonia received in extinguishing the recent forest fires. He highlighted that this friendly act was another proof of the solidarity and mutual support between the two countries.

 

 

Mucunski also announced a new stage of cultural cooperation, beginning with the opening of the Cultural and Information Center in Belgrade.

 

"This center will enrich cultural ties between the two countries and will actively promote Macedonian culture in Serbia," the foreign minister said.

 

 

The meeting with Minister Momirović focused on boosting the already excellent economic relations, the release says.

 

In line with the new competences of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, meeting participants exchanged useful experiences and affirmed their commitment to strengthening trade ties and cultural cooperation. mr/
