Skopje, 31 July 2024 (MIA) - Assistance from Hungary in the efforts to deal with the fires: ground vehicles and aircraft are set to arrive, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski wrote in a Facebook post Wednesday after a phone call with Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.

“In a phone call today, my Hungarian colleague Péter Szijjártó informed me that Hungary will send three firefighting vehicles and aircraft to assist with extinguishing the fires. Hungary’s assistance is of great importance,” Mucunski wrote.

Mucunski expressed gratitude for the solidarity and emphasized “the importance of cooperation between our countries in critical times like these”.

“I thanked him for the swift reaction and assistance from Hungary, noting at the same time that the Government and the Ministry will make use of all available mechanisms to tackle the fires faster,” Mucunski wrote on Facebook.
