Skopje, 12 January 2026 (MIA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski held Monday a farewell meeting with the outgoing US Ambassador to North Macedonia, Angela Aggeler.

As Mucunski informed in a post on his Facebook profile, mutual satisfaction was expressed at the meeting with the continuity of high-level political dialogue and the development of cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

“Today I held a farewell meeting with US Ambassador Angela Aggeler. I expressed my appreciation for her overall engagement and valuable contribution to enhancing political and economic cooperation, as well as for strengthening the strategic partnership and the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries during her mandate,” Mucunski wrote.

At the same time, as he noted in the post, they exchanged views on current geopolitical developments and security challenges, reaffirming their shared commitment to stability in the Western Balkans and strong alliance within NATO.
