Mucunski: Government to focus on European integration process

Skopje, 24 June 2024 (MIA) - The new government led by Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski will be fully focused on the country's European integration, said Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Timcho Mucunski, ahead of the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) in Luxembourg on Monday.
FM Mucunski told reporters he came to Luxembourg to meet with EU and Western Balkans counterparts and reaffirm the importance of the European integration process for the regon's stability.
"We will discuss the importance of the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, which will have serious fiscal implications for the Western Balkans. We believe this is one of the fora through which we can jointly speed up the progress of the entire region towards full-fledged EU membership," said Mucunski.
He added that Skopje wants to make progress on the EU path based on values and criteria, noting that the process should not be burdened by bilateral disputes.
