Skopje, 6 August 2024 (MIA) — Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Timcho Mucunski met Tuesday with US Ambassador Angela Aggeler, who introduced him to the newly appointed Deputy Head of Mission Nicole Varnes, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said in a press release.

According to the release, Minister Mucunski yet again thanked the USA on the long-term support to the country's reform processes.

Meeting participants confirmed the mutual interest in maintaining the political dialogue between the two friendly countries, continuing activities within the Strategic Dialogue as well as cooperating within NATO, the release says.

They also discussed the new government's strong focus on accelerating the country's European integration process and delivering tangible reforms, which would boost economic development and promote the rule of law and the fight against corruption. mr/
