Muaremi says to file criminal complaint against prosecutors Ruskovska, Trajcheva, Josifovska
Skopje, 3 August 2022 (MIA) – Financial Police Director Arafat Muaremi will file a criminal complaint by the end of the week against prosecutors Vilma Ruskovska, Ivana Trajcheva and Elizabeta Josifovska for “abuse of official position and authority” and “falsification of official document.”   Muaremi told a press briefing on Wednesday that he had submitted complaints to the Public Prosecutor of the Republic of North Macedonia, the Council of Public Prosecutors and the Judicial Council not because Vilma Ruskovska acted on the report she had received against him, but because of the manner and illegality of the action.   “The Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Corruption submits false and untrue data to the Court only to obtain the search warrant. This constitutes fraud and falsification of a document. The search warrant includes reasonable suspicion that I have committed crime of receiving a reward for unlawful influence. Vilma Ruskovska, without having any evidence, without providing any evidence, to the Court and in public, accuses me of having committed a crime,” said Muaremi.   According to him, the search was exclusively aimed at damaging his personal reputation, the reputation of the Financial Police, and hinder his work.   “The searches were tendentious and with a single purpose – to damage my personal reputation, the reputation of the entire institution, to call into question all current and future procedures/cases conducted by the Financial Police,” Muaremi said.
