MPs return to work Friday, several no confidence votes scheduled at first plenary session

Skopje, 8 January 2025 (MIA) – MPs will return to Parliament this coming Friday. No confidence votes are scheduled in the first plenary session against First Deputy PM Izet Mexhiti, Deputy PM and Minister for Relations between the Communities, Ivan Stoilkovikj, Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski, Deputy Interior Minister Astrit Iseni and MP and chairwoman of the Commission for Social Policy, Demographics and Youth, Ilire Dauti.

The 29th session is set to start at 11 am.

On December 26, Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi said each no confidence motion will be discussed separately and discussions may last whole day depending on how many MPs will take the podium. They, however, will have to vote by the end of the day.

“Each no confidence motion is discussed a whole day, in fact, it depends on how many MPs will take the podium. The session may last, but MPs have to vote for each no confidence motion by the end of the day and they will vote for every motion separately,” he stated.
