Skopje, 14 March 2024 (MIA) – An earthquake with an intensity of III-IV on the European Macroseismic Scale was felt early Thursday in Tetovo, Gostivar, Debar, Kichevo, Ohrid, Struga and Resen. It was also felt in Skopje, Kumanovo and Veles with an intensity of III degrees.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 247 kilometers northwest of Skopje, in Montenegro, with a local magnitude of ML5.3 on the Richter scale, said the Seismological Observatory at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Skopje.

According to the Observatory’s current information, the earthquake did not cause any significant material damage.
