Belgrade, 2 September 2022 (MIA) – Minister of Transport and Communications Blagoj Bochvarski met Friday with Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Tomislav Momirovic, discussing joint infrastructure projects and e-tolls in the Open Balkan member-states, MIA reports from Belgrade. “The Open Balkan Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system is in the test-phase and we will start to use a single tag in Serbia, North Macedonia and Albania by the end of September,” said Minister Momirovic. “We have reaffirmed our joint commitment for more efficient regional networking and acceleration of economic development. We put the primary focus on realization of infrastructure projects, especially in the railway sector, an aspect that will ensure further rise in regional development between our friendly countries,” said Minister Bochvarski. Interlocutors referred to current projects such as the rehabilitation of Nish-Brestovac railway (North Macedonia border), as well as functioning of the Presevo-Tabanovce border crossing.
