MoI: Tabanovce border wait time increased due to Serbia's terror alert level

Skopje, 1 July 2024 (MIA) – The Interior Ministry said Monday the long wait times at the Tabanovce border crossing to enter and exit the territory of North Macedonia were due to the red terror alert level declared in Serbia.

The countries’ border police are in constant communication so as to allow quick and uninterrupted flow of passengers and vehicles and adequate control given the new developments, said the press release.

Earlier, the Automoto Association of Macedonia (AMSM) reported that passengers and vehicles waited up to 30 minutes at the Tabanovce border crossing to exit the country and at the Bogorodica border with Greece.

AMSM on Sunday said that queues were the longest at Tabanovce border, where wait times were up to two hours. One-hour wait times were reported at other borders.
