MoI Spasovski meets EU Home Affairs Commissioner Johansson in Berlin
Skopje, 20 October 2022 (MIA) – Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski met with European Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson at the sidelines of the Berlin Process in the German capital on Thursday, discussing justice, freedom and security in the country. MoI Spasovski informed Commissioner Johansson that the Government has accepted the harmonized text of the agreement with the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex) in North Macedonia. “In addition, I briefed Commissioner Johansson that the agreement, which was initialed in 2018, will finally be signed in Macedonian language, without any additions,” Spasovski wrote in a Facebook post. He thanked the EU official for the continued support to the Ministry of Interior. “We remain committed to the implementation of the plan on the fight against corruption and alignment of the Macedonian and European legislation, especially in Chapters 23 and 24 that concern the ministry,” says Spasovski.
