MoI: No grounds for disciplinary proceedings against police officers over investigation into double murder case

Skopje, 7 March 2024 (MIA) - The Ministry of Interior (MoI) said there were no grounds for initiating disciplinary proceedings against police officers from Skopje and Veles in connection with the investigation into the murder of 74-year-old Panche Zhezhovski and 14-year-old Vanja Gjorchevska.
The MoI's Department for Internal Control, Criminal Investigations and Professional Standards, at the request of the Minister of Interior Panche Toshkovski, and in connection with the investigation into the double murder case, has carried out checks at the Skopje police and at the Veles police.
"We inform the public, given that the report is classified, it has been established that there are no grounds for initiating disciplinary proceedings. In addition, the Public Security Bureau at the Ministry of the Interior has been ordered to adopt new procedures and guidelines," MoI said in the press release.
