MoI, MES align measures and guidelines for enhanced security of schools and uninterrupted instruction process
- The Ministry of Interior (MoI) and the Public Security Bureau (PSB) presented Friday the new guidelines including procedures and measures undertaken by the MoI upon receiving an information or report on terrorist threat, with a plan of measures and activities drafted on the basis of these guidelines. Guidelines are also drafted by the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) to be implemented by school principals.

Skopje, 3 March 2023 (MIA) - The Ministry of Interior (MoI) and the Public Security Bureau (PSB) presented Friday the new guidelines including procedures and measures undertaken by the MoI upon receiving an information or report on terrorist threat, with a plan of measures and activities drafted on the basis of these guidelines. Guidelines are also drafted by the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) to be implemented by school principals.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski, Minister of Education and Science Jeton Shaqiri, and PSB director Sasho Tasevski, the Government said in a press release.
In addition, the measures and activities that MES is already undertaking to cope with hybrid threats are complemented with security strengthening of schools, thus guaranteeing the security and safety of pupils and teachers in schools.
Complementary to the guidelines developed by the MoI, the MES is also drafting guidelines for school principals across the country, aimed at enhancing the security of pupils and teaching staff, along with uninterrupted instruction process. The measures will be elaborated in detail to the principals in the coming days, as will the public, reads the press release.
