MoH: 9,393 vaccines administered on Tuesday, 434,450 citizens vaccinated so far
Skopje, 14 July 2021 (MIA) – A total of 434,450 people across North Macedonia have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine so far, the Ministry of Health said on Wednesday.
“On Tuesday, 9,393 citizens were vaccinated against COVID-19 nationwide. Of them, 5,626 received their first vaccine dose. A total of 686,788 vaccine doses have been administered in North Macedonia so far, while 252,338 citizens have been fully vaccinated,” the press release reads.
Interest in inoculation rises daily and the vaccination campaign is under way uninterrupted in all vaccination sites across North Macedonia, says the Ministry of Health.
Latest data show that 57% of people over 70 have received at least one COVID-19 shot, as well as 54% of those over 65, and 49% of people over 60.
Interest in walk-in vaccination is substantial. Adults across the country can get both vaccine doses without appointment, the press release reads.
Field vaccination is also taking place in North Macedonia, with medial teams administering jabs to people living in villages and rural areas.
Appointments for vaccination of children can be made via the vakcinacija.mk website, adds the release.
In addition to the country’s largest mass vaccination site at the Skopje Boris Trajkovski Sports Arena, vaccination sites are open in Kavadarci, Kumanovo, Tetovo, Shtip, Bitola, Strumica, Ohrid, Veles, and Prilep.
The Ministry of Health urges citizens to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as mass inoculation is the only way to defeat the virus.
