MoH: 13,037 COVID-19 jabs administered on Tuesday, 53% of population over 40 vaccinated with at least one dose
Skopje, 1 September 2021 (MIA) – According to the Health Ministry, 13,037 citizens were vaccinated on Tuesday against COVID-19 nationwide, including 5,486 who received the first dose. “A total of 728,628 citizens have been jabbed in North Macedonia so far, while 539,037 have received both doses. 1,267,666 vaccine doses have been administered so far in the country, the Ministry of Health said in a press release on Wednesday. Latest figures show that 53% of the population over 40 have received at least one vaccine dose. “Walk-in vaccinations are available at vaccination sites nationwide, while children over 12 are vaccinated with parental consent,” read the release. According to the Ministry, vaccines are safe and efficient and they are the only way to defeat the pandemic. “Full vaccination prevents serious symptoms, as well as lowers the chances of getting infected and dying from COVID-19,” the press release read.
