Skopje, 3 September 2021 (MIA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia confirmed on Friday that one of its employees, who is currently sent to the country’s OSCE Mission in Vienna, was detained in the Republic of Serbia on August 27, 2021. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia has officially notified the Embassy of North Macedonia in Belgrade. According to the report, a competent court in Serbia ordered extradition detention on the basis of an international arrest warrant for an illegal act he is accused of having committed during a private trip abroad,” the Foreign Ministry said. According to the Ministry, the detained employee will be suspended until the case is resolved.
