Skopje, 15 August 2021 (MIA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said Sunday there are about 100 Macedonian nationals in Afghanistan, all in safe locations for the time being. According to the latest information, companies hiring workers are not facing difficulties and have booked their own flights for evacuation of their employees, while some have already been transferred to neighboring countries, the MoFA says in a press release. The Ministry adds the situation is closely monitored and some countries have expressed readiness to take in Macedonian nationals on evacuation flights, if necessary.
