Minor earthquake felt in northeastern parts of country

Skopje, 17 November 2025 (MIA) - An earthquake with an intensity of three degrees on the European macroseismic scale was felt on Monday in the northeastern part of the country, according to the Seismological Observatory at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Skopje.
“The telemetric seismological network of the Republic of North Macedonia registered an earthquake today at 15:48 with an epicenter in the border area near Blagoevgrad, approximately 124 kilometers southeast of Skopje, with a local magnitude of ML 3.2,” the Observatory said.
According to initial data, the earthquake was felt in the northeastern regions of the country, particularly in Delchevo and Vinica, as well as in surrounding settlements, with an intensity of three degrees on the European macroseismic scale.
