Ministry of Justice holds second roundtable on changes to Law on Judicial Council

Skopje, 28 November 2024 (MIA) - Ministry of Justice, in cooperation with the "EU Support for Rule of Law" project, is organizing a roundtable to address the need to amend and supplement the Law on the Judicial Council of the Republic of North Macedonia. The event is scheduled to take place Thursday in the Appellate Court hall in Bitola.
The event will begin with an opening address by Deputy Minister of Justice Alen Dereban, followed by a presentation on the process of drafting the proposed amendments and supplements to the Law on the Judicial Council.
The goal of the roundtable is to promote expert debate on the draft amendments to the Law, drafted by a working group within the Ministry of Justice.
This event marks the second in a series of consultations planned by the Ministry to guarantee a transparent and inclusive process for improving the legal framework of the Judicial Council's functioning.
The findings and recommendations from the discussion will serve as a basis for further enhancing the draft amendments to the Law.
