Ministry of Interior celebrates ahead of Police Day, May 7
Skopje, 30 April 2022 (MIA) — The Ministry of Interior is organizing several events ahead of Police Day, May 7, with officials attending celebrations in cities nationwide and inviting the public to join them. According to an official press release, Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski is attending an event in Strumica. Deputy Minister of Interior Nazim Bushi will visit Struga, and Public Security Bureau head Sasho Tasevski will visit Kriva Palanka. State Secretary at the Ministry of Interior Magdalena Nestorovska will attend an event in Veles, and Public Security Bureau deputy direvtor Arif Asani will be in Krushevo. The Ministry of Interior has invited citizens to socialize with police officers from all local departments, the release says. On May 5, Minister Spasovski will open a regional conference of police directors. On May 6, the Ministry of Interior will hold a blood drive, and a book launch for "The Ministry of Interior for the Citizens" monograph is scheduled for the same day. The May 7 celebrations will begin with flower-laying ceremonies at memorials of police members who died on duty, and the central event this year will be held at Delchevo’s city square and broadcast live on MRTV. The 2022 Police Day celebrations began on April 27 with the unveiling of the country’s 73rd reconstructed police department – the Radovish police department’s building. mr/
