Minister Trenchevska to attend International Labour Conference in Geneva

Skopje, 7 June 2022 (MIA) – Minister of Labour and Social Policy Jovanka Trenchevska travelled Tuesday to Geneva to take part in the 110th session of the International Labour Conference, which is the International Labour Organisation’s highest decision-making body.
The Republic of North Macedonia is a member of the International Labour Organisation.
“ILO meets annually, in June, bringing together the tripartite delegations from the Organization’s 187 member states. A delegation of the Republic of North Macedonia led by Minister Trenchevska is consisted of two government delegates, one trade union representative and one employer representative,” the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy said in a press release.
This year, the delegation includes the representatives of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia and of the Organization of Employers of Macedonia, who are also members of the Economic and Social Council. North Macedonia’s delegation is participating in plenary session of the second week of the conference.
In addition to the address of the Minister Trenchevska at the International Labour Conference, meetings with representatives of delegations from other ILO member states are also planned.
