Minister Toshkovski addresses inaugural IACLEA International Symposium

Skopje, 19 March 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Interior Panche Toshkovski delivered an opening address at the Inaugural International Symposium of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA), the Ministry of Interior said in a press release. 

The symposium focuses on topics covering cybersecurity, tackling hate crime, security at large-scale gatherings, prevention and fight against human trafficking and migrant smuggling, bringing together campus public safety and law enforcement professionals from around the world, including from the Macedonian Ministry of Interior, reads the press release.  


Highlighting cooperation in combating transnational crime, Minister Toshkovski stressed that joining the European Union is the biggest driver for regional cooperation in Western Balkan countries.

"Geography makes us neighbours. History makes us friends. The economy makes us partners, and the necessity of joint action against all threats and dangers - makes us allies. Joining the European Union is the biggest driver for regional cooperation in Western Balkan countries. In the European Union - regional cooperation is a means of achieving stabilization, one of the steps for further EU integration. In other words, we are all in favour of regional cooperation, but for different reasons," Toshkovski said in his address.
