Minister Spasovski once again calls school bomb threats 'a hybrid attack'
Skopje, 16 November 2022 (MIA) - Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski said Wednesday he sticks to his position that bomb threats reported by schools in Skopje are a part of a hybrid attack of the country. It's a monstrous act, he said. "No matter who makes the threats, it disturbs the students, their parents, the teachers, the whole country in general." "The institutions are fully committed to [the investigation]. I expect the police to discover one of the perpetrators very soon," said Spasovski when asked for a comment on the false bomb threats in schools in recent weeks. Earlier, the Ministry of the Interior said that the reports made of bombs that led to the evacuation of seven schools were false. “Immediately after receiving the reports, measures were taken by police officers to safely evacuate the schools, and then detailed checks were carried out by teams for anti-terrorist checks and it was determined that these were false reports, stated the Ministry. At 9:30 am it was reported to the Skopje police that a threat of an explosive device was sent to the emails of seven schools in Skopje.
