Minister Spasovski meets Swedish Ambassador Larsson Jain
Skopje, 2 February 2023 (MIA) - Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski met with Swedish Ambassador Ami Larsson Jain, who was accompanied by Deputy Head of Mission Bibi Gramson.
"Minister Spasovski welcomed Ambassador Jain, wishing her success in her new post and expressing gratitude for the support that the Kingdom of Sweden has given to the Republic of North Macedonia in its European integration process on the path to full-fledged EU membership," the Ministry of Interior said in a press release.
Ambassador Ami Larsson Jain said Sweden takes over the EU Presidency, noting that security developments in the Western Balkans are important to the region and the EU, and the Swedish Presidency will continue the integration process of the Western Balkan countries, i.e. that the future of these countries lies in the EU.
"Interlocutors agreed that the cooperation between the two countries is excellent, and such continuity will be jointly maintained in the coming period, as well as intensifying segments of importance to both countries," reads the press release. dk/nn/
