Skopje, 7 April 2023 (MIA) - The inaugural Defense Forum 2023 will be held in Skopje on Friday, organized by the Ministry of Defense.

Defense Minister Slavjanka Petrovska, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg (online), and United States Ambassador Angela Aggeler will deliver the forum's opening remarks, the Ministry of Defense said in a press release.

Konrad Adenauer Foundation director Daniel Braun, Private Security Chamber president Verica Mileska Stefanovska and MKD-NATO 2030 Committee chairman Marjan Gjurovski will also address the event.

The forum is expected to bring together over 200 participants from North Macedonia, Germany, Belgium, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries.

The forum aims to share experiences and good practices on several topics such as geopolitical developments amid the new security architecture and regional security, prevention and response to crises, future place and role of Army, role of civil society in building resilience, private security and defense-security system.
