Minister Mucunski to address PACE's autumn plenary session
- Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski is set to address on Thursday the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) during its autumn plenary session taking place in Strasbourg from September 30 to October 4, 2024.
Skopje, 3 October 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski is set to address on Thursday the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) during its autumn plenary session taking place in Strasbourg from September 30 to October 4, 2024.
As the Council of Europe marks its 75th anniversary, Minister Mucunski at the invitation of PACE President Theodoros Rousopoulos will address the parliamentary delegations of the members of the organization, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release.
In his address, reads the press release, Mucunski will focus on the current crises and challenges facing the European continent, including the Russian military aggression against Ukraine, the consequences of the pandemic, the economic crisis, democratic backsliding and the rise of extremism and disinformation, migrant trafficking, as well as the impact of climate change and new technologies.
As part of the Strasbourg visit, Minister Mucunski will hold a meeting with PACE President Theodoros Rousopoulos, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Alain Berset, as well as with the President of the European Court of Human Rights Marko Bošnjak.
