Skopje, 16 September 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski received Monday the copies of credentials of the newly appointed UN Resident Coordinator Rita Columbia. 

Extending congratulations on the appointment to the post, Minister Mucunski expressed confidence in further continuing and strengthening of mutual cooperation with the agencies of the United Nations, the Ministry said in a press release.

Interlocutors exchanged views on the cooperation so far with the Office and the team of the UN Resident Coordinator and the implementation of ongoing projects. The two welcomed the UN's engagement aimed at strengthening the country's capacity in key sectors and promoting the necessary reform agenda to meet the requirements for accession to the European Union.
