Skopje, 20 August 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade received Tuesday the credentials of the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the country, Özlem Canel, the Foreign Ministry said in a press release.

“At the meeting, Minister Mucunski wished the new Ambassador a sincere welcome and a successful diplomatic mission, voicing his satisfaction with the dynamic and continued political dialogue between the two countries and expressing expectations that joint work will contribute to further promotion of cooperation during the new Ambassador’s term as well,” the Ministry said. 

Mucunski thanked for the principled and continued support of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for the country’s European path, stressing the importance of partnership with the Netherlands in the EU integration process and the support and assistance in the creation of European and democratic institutions in the country.

“Ambassador Canel voiced readiness to intensify political and economic relations during her diplomatic mission, stressing that the Kingdom of the Netherlands will continue its principled support for the country on its path to the EU,” the Ministry said.
