Minister Minchev gives lecture at Faculty of Information Studies in Slovenia

Skopje, 4 October 2024 (MIA) - At the invitation of the chairman for organizational development, Minister of Public Administration Goran Minchev gave a lecture at the Faculty of Information Studies discussing the key role of education, innovation, and international cooperation in fostering social progress in the region, in Novo Mesto, Slovenia, on Friday.

Minister Minchev highlighted the faculty's Informatics in Contemporary Society program as a leading example of preparing students for the challenges of the modern world, the Ministry of Public Administration said in a press release.

He also referred to the ongoing reforms and modernization efforts in North Macedonia’s public administration.

"Our goal is to promote rule of law, reduce corruption, restore public trust in institutions though collective, transparent, and systematic reforms," the press release reads.

Minchev also took the opportunity to address Macedonian students studying at the Faculty and encouraged them to come back and be future leaders of change and reforms.

"You are ambassadors of change, architects of progress, and future leaders needed to help shape our country's path. Macedonia needs you. Macedonia is not just a place on the map, it is our identity, heritage, and collective responsibility. After finishing your studies, your educational journey outside of your homeland, I expect you to use the knowledge and skills acquired at home, and contribute to the development of the Republic of Macedonia. Macedonia is waiting for you. Your story does not end after graduation, it begins when you return to where your heart belongs, to your homeland," Minchev stressed. ssh/ba/
