Minister Minchev and Serbian counterpart Žarić Kovačević sign Memorandum of cooperation in public administration reform
- Minister of Public Administration Goran Minchev and Serbia’s Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Jelena Žarić Kovačević, signed Wednesday a Memorandum of cooperation in public administration reform.
Skopje, 27 November 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Public Administration Goran Minchev and Serbia’s Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Jelena Žarić Kovačević, signed Wednesday a Memorandum of cooperation in public administration reform.
According to the Ministry, the Memorandum foresees mutual encouragement, facilitation and engagement in cooperation; exchange of expertise in the area of public administration reform; as well as the development of policies, strategies and regulation in the field of managing human resources in public administration; training for public administration quality management; development of the information system for the management of human resources; establishing innovative tools in public administration; as well as mutual participation and partnership in projects.
Minister Minchev highlighted the importance of the Memorandum, stressing it marks a significant step forward in regional cooperation.
“The signing of this Memorandum reflects the shared commitment to the modernization of public administration and support for the reforms as a driver of economic and social progress. I believe that this cooperation will allow us to share the best practices and find innovative solutions for the challenges we face in the public sector,” Minchev said.
Minister Žarić Kovačević said the Memorandum will serve as a foundation for the strengthening of both administrations and expects it to enable a faster and more intensive development of the public administration of both countries.
“In this way, the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Macedonia are encouraging modernization and deepening cooperation in key areas of public administration reform. Regional cooperation and the exchange of good practices are key for the strengthening of our most important resource, the human capital, as well as for the improvement of the European integration,” Žarić Kovačević said.
