Skopje, 30 June 2023 (MIA) - Minister of Information Society and Administration Azir Aliu and European Commission officials signed Friday in Brussels the North Macedonia-European Union partnership agreement within programme "Digital Europe 2021-2027".
Minister Aliu thanked the EU for the support it provides to North Macedonia.
"Today, our partners, who are beside us during the digital revolution and the challenging reforms, validate the Ministry's commitment for digitization of public services. Our Government remains committed to continuing the digital transformation in line with EU requirements and parameters," said Aliu.
He added that the agreement demonstrated North Macedonia's commitment to the enhancement of digital infrastructure.
"The Digital Europe Programme will ensure strategic financing to respond to these challenges, supporting projects in five key areas - supercomputer, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, advanced digital skills and ensuring the broad use of digital technologies in the economy and the society, including through digital innovative centers," said Aliu.
