Skopje, 19 April 2023 (MIA) — Miladinov Brothers City Library will host a book launch for Milovan Stefanovski's "Treasure Chest of Book Pearls" (Ad Verbum, 2023), a book of quotes from 300 works by 100 contemporary Macedonian writers.

Stefanovski has put together a quotation book including thoughts from writers spanning eight and a half decades, beginning with Vasil Iljoski (1902–1995) and ending with Davor Stojanovski (b. 1987).

"Their lives overlap for eight years," Stefanovski points out, adding that the writers he chose for the selection could be broadly considered contemporaries because "according to the poet Mihail Renzhov, everyone who lived or lives at the same time, regardless of age, can be said to be one generation." 

The book includes portraits of the authors by Miroslav Georgievski Miro. Branko Cvetkovski and Zhivko Andrevski will speak at the launch, with Andrej Serafimovski and Iva Milchova reading excerpts. mr/
