Migrant smugglers detained at Udovo-Demir Kapija road

Skopje, 6 June 2023 (MIA) - Police detained late Monday two persons from the Tetovo region at regional road Udovo-Demir Kapija under the suspicion of migrant smuggling.

One of the persons drove a vehicle with Slovak register plates, transporting ten migrants from Syria, while the other drove another vehicle with Tetovo plates that served as 'sweeper'.

The migrants have been transferred to the reception-transit center in Gevgelija for processing.
