Mickoski says his party to seek coalition partner in Albanian opposition, calls for massive voter turnout on May 8

Skopje, 28 April 2024 (MIA) - VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski called for a massive voter turnout on May 8 during the rally in Bitola, stating that his party would seek a coalition partner in the Albanian opposition, with parties sharing similar values and principles. He emphasized the need for DUI to join the opposition and to be held accountable.

According to him, time has come for DUI to be replaced by parties that will work for the secure future of all citizens and with which we will collectively strive for a common future.

Mickoski stressed that whenever DUI steals the most, they cover it up with national and ethnic issues, and today they are hiding behind the curtain of Europe.

Mickoski, addressing a gathering in Bitola, emphasized the significance of Macedonian heroes from the city and beyond, particularly commemorating the sacrifice of eight defenders, including four Bitola natives, who laid down their lives in the Vejce ambush in 2001.

Mickoski urged citizens to come out in large numbers on May 8 and vote for the presidential candidate Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, as well as for the VMRO-DPMNE and coalition MP lists. He highlighted several projects from Program 1198, promising their implementation.

Prior in Demir Hisar, but also at the rally in Bitola, Mickoski said that Siljanovska-Davkova won in the first round of elections with a historic difference of 183,000 votes compared to her opponent Stevo Pendarovski.

Mickoski vows quick results for the "Your Macedonia" coalition and VMRO-DPMNE, expressing confidence that after May 8, they will have 61 MPs, with Siljanovska-Davkova becoming the next president of the country.

In the evening rally in Bitola, Gjorgjija Sajkoski, list principal in the fifth election district, highlighted VMRO-DPMNE's commitment to enhancing infrastructure and bringing investments to the region.

He emphasized plans to construct the Gradsko-Prielp road to facilitate development and prosperity for Bitola.

"I send a message to everyone: join the great winning coalition of VMRO-DPMNE, Your Macedonia. We all want better education, healthcare, and judiciary,” Sajkoski added.
