Skopje, 14 March 2025 (MIA) – It takes two to tango, said Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on Friday responding to reporters’ questions regarding his country’s relations with Bulgaria and the decision of the government in Sofia to suspend railway connection with North Macedonia.
We should wait because we still don’t know if there’s going to be an agreement or not, he noted. “Our job is to work. As to whether there will be an agreement – well, it takes two to tango. We should see what the other side will be doing,” the premier stated.
When asked what the country will do with the funding planned for the railway with Bulgaria, Mickoski said “we should wait and not rush things.”
“We know exactly what we’re doing, we won’t move a millimetre if it goes against the interests of the people and the country, be sure of that,” Mickoski stressed speaking to members of the media in Skopje’s Gjorche Petrov municipality.
