Mickoski: Not giving up on dissolution of Judicial Council and Council of Public Prosecutors, waiting for proposals

Skopje, 31 July 2024 (MIA) – Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Wednesday he is not giving up on the dissolution of the Judicial Council and the Council of Public Prosecutors as a reform. In response to a reporter's question, Mickoski said he is waiting for proposals on reforms in the judiciary, adding that there are exceptions to corrupt prosecutors and judges who allow a few criminals to think they are above the law.

"I am desperately asking for proposals so that citizens' trust in the judiciary is not at two percent. Because we have exceptions to corrupt prosecutors and judges, that is not the general picture, to be clear. The people are fed up with feeling like second-class citizens in their own country, because a few criminals think they are above the law, and these institutions make that possible for them because they are there thanks to those few political criminals and real criminals. I know that much," Mickoski said after Wednesday's signing of a franchise agreement between Tikvesh Invest and the Holiday Inn hotel in Kavadarci.

He said that he was ready for talks if better solutions are offered because, according to him, the low percentage also affects the investments in the country.

"I am ready to talk to anyone. Anyone who has an idea should come forward, I'm ready to listen. Jut not the all-time experts who accidentally appear as new members of the Judicial Council. Such all-time experts, I know their methods, they have led us to these two percent," said Mickoski.
