Makedonska Kamenica, 20 April 2024 (MIA) — VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski at an election rally in Makedonska Kamenica said his party was determined to transform the country, restoring hope and optimism, if they won a majority of seats in Parliament, MIA's Delchevo correspondent reports.

"Our victory must be shown through a parliamentary majority. This means we need to have 61 MPs to be able to implement and realize everything that I have been talking about," Mickoski told supporters.

He said a large number of citizens' needs were addressed in their "Platform 1198."

"This number wants to symbolically show 1198 projects and policies that will mean the transformation of Macedonia in the coming years," Mickoski said.

Dragan Kovachki, head of the VMRO-DPMNE and its coalition's list of MP candidates from the Third Electoral District, also spoke at the rally. He said that his party after the elections would focus on building many new local roads to connect Makedonska Kamenica to Kriva Palanka.

"Macedonia is living through its most difficult years, but our desire for change is so great that we will strongly defeat them," Kovachki said. mr/
