Delchevo, 19 May 2024 (MIA) - VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski expects to secure a parliamentary majority of 62 MP seats after a revote in the fifth election district.
"While focusing on the people, we have a historic opportunity as never before, in these more than three decades. The task is nearly complete, there will be a revote in the fifth election district on May 22, we expect one more MP seat there, and during my next address before you, I will not speak about 61 but 62 MPs," Mickoski told reporters during an event observing the anniversary of the Razlovci Uprising in Delchevo on Sunday.
The next goal, he added, is a two-thirds majority in Parliament.
"I believe we will reach this by next week, thus being able to change the organization of departments within the government, resulting a modern executive that corresponds to the citizens' needs," said Mickoski.
According to him, a historic reform process, "unseen before in Macedonia", will follow.
"We expect good news for all citizens in the first 100 days by releasing a 'financial bomb'. We will not produce political bombs, basic instincts or attacks, we are planning to work in order to improve the citizens' living standard. This is our goal and we plan to earn our place in history," adds Mickoski.
