Mickoski: DUI segregates people based on ethnicity, Macedonia needs unity, not divisions

Skopje, 21 April 2024 (MIA) — DUI has been in power for more than two decades, creating rifts and robbing the people; but these elections will seriously surprise them and it is obvious why they are nervous – after May 8, they will have to answer for everything they did to the people, for all their robberies, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said at an election rally in Skopje's Chair on Sunday.

"Ali Ahmeti and Artan Grubi, Bujar Osmani, Talat Xhaferi and the rest, there is nothing special about them – they just segregate people based on ethnicity and this is how they survive. Can anyone remember anything good that Ali Ahmeti and Artan Grubi have done? But I can say dozens of bad things," Mickoski said.

He said that according to polls, VMRO-DPMNE would win a landslide victory on April 24 and May 8.

Speaking about VMRO-DPMNE's election platform, Mickoski said they planned on investing EUR 250 million every year into municipalities, totalling EUR 1 billion over a four-year term.

He also said they would create 55,000 new jobs, have the rule of law apply on the entire territory of the country and allow no places where "sheriffs will rule."

"Let's provide decent conditions for a larger investment wave from both foreign and domestic investors so our children can stay here. We also have to bring back those who left. Let's provide hope," he said.

"I invite you all to unite around number 2 on April 24 and vote for Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, and then to unite on May 8 and together to write history for the 'Your Macedonia' coalition led by VMRO-DPMNE," Mickoski said in Chair.

Earlier, VMRO-DPMNE held a rally in Saraj, where Mickoski said that DUI, trying to cover up their own crimes, were accusing him, "baselessly, of being anti-Albanian." mr/
