Skopje, 31 October 2021 (MIA) – VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said late Sunday the party produced a big win and that today is the day when changes for a better Macedonia has begun. Mickoski thanked all opposition parties for their support and added that cooperation has shown that a broad opposition front is possible for future collaboration and a government coalition based on principles and values based on mutual respect and understanding. “As of tonight, the country begins to live the big dream for a new future, a hope for all people. Many doubted that success is possible, but hope has won. Macedonia must change and the changes began this evening. Hope has won over apathy and its strength will grow. This is day when changes begin, changes for the better, changes for unification, changes for a better life, changes for a strong standard. This is a convincing victory, this is a victory for the people of Macedonia,” said Mickoski. He thanked VMRO-DPMNE’s coalition partners but also political parties that supported them – Alternativa, Alliance of Albanians, Levica. Regarding a new parliamentary majority, Mickoski said time will tell how things would develop, adding the best thing would be for the authorities to hold early elections.
