Mickoski: Arguments bear witness to Kocevski's work

Skopje, 25 November 2025 (MIA) – Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, commenting on the Public Prosecutor Ljupcho Kocevski’s remarks saying there are political reasons behind the calls for his dismissal, said the arguments seen by the public bear witness to his work.

“We don’t expect the public prosecutor to say he failed. So, the public is here to witness his work and the work of the prosecution and the courts,” said Mickoski on Tuesday.

He said Kocevski has had a chance, which, unfortunately, he didn’t use.

As regards Kocevski’s announcement that cases involving illegal constructions in Skopje’s Chair municipality will be merged, Mickoski said that competent authorities should do their job.

“The bodies should do their job. If the prosecution decided so, it’s their job, I have nothing to comment. If there are any grounds for wrongdoings, there is no dilemma,” Mickoski stated at a news conference after handing our self-employment certificates.

Public Prosecutor Ljupcho Kocevski said the cases in relation to the disputed legalized illegal constructions in Chair are processed by the Skopje public prosecutor’s office and the public prosecutor for organized crime and corruption and will be merged most likely.
