Mickoski: Ali Ahmeti and DUI increasingly becoming a factor of instability

Skopje, 12 November 2024 (MIA) – Ali Ahmeti continues to be a factor of instability, which worries not only me but also our international partners, because Ali Ahmeti and DUI, on daily basis, are increasingly becoming a factor of instability, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski has said.

Commenting on a DUI press release, saying the government has been destroying all achievements in the country so far and if the languages law were to be amended, all Albanians would rise up, Mickoski stressed that it is part of the opposition party’s rhetoric, which couldn’t trigger instability.

I don’t believe, he added, that what he has been saying could incite instability because Albanians and all citizens in Macedonia in general are aware of everything he had done personally and those in his immediate surrounding for more than twenty years while being in power.

“I don’t believe it is something serious, however, he remains to be a factor of instability, which worries me and worries our international partners as well,” Mickoski told reporters on Tuesday.

The PM denounced DUI’s position that the prime minister is threatening opposition officials, thus misusing his state position.

“It is the political criminals that should be worried. DUI’s press release is regarding my yesterday’s statement that prosecutors are falling ill every time they should carry out an operation against criminals who were in power in the past seven years. I guess they are worried because they are used to pestering the prosecutors,” Mickoski said noting he is threatening no one since it is not how he does things.
