Mickoski – Lajčák: EU to intensify efforts to accelerate integration processes

Skopje, 11 December 2024 (MIA) – Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski met Wednesday with Miroslav Lajčák, EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue. As Mickoski shared on social media, the meeting focused on the country’s strategic goals and the necessity for the European Union to engage more intensively in accelerating the integration processes, which are often hindered by bilateral obstacles and disputes.

“I emphasized Macedonia's commitment to progress in this regard, as well as our positions on overcoming obstacles with our eastern neighbor. Macedonia deserves to be part of the European family,” Mickoski posted on his official Facebook profile.

Lajčák participated in the seventh plenary conference of the National Convention on the European Union in Republic of North Macedonia (NKEU-MK) held in Parliament on Wednesday, where he stated that EU membership is the best option for both North Macedonia and the region in this new geopolitical context.
