10 August 2021 Skopje – Majority of wildfires in the country have been localized and brought under control. Although partially under control, a fire burning near the Berovo village of Budinarci, eastern North Macedonia, is still active. Also, the Municipality of Saraj in Skopje has requested an army plane to help put out blazes overlooking a nearby village. Skopje – More than 500 people have been dispatched to put out the wildfire in Budinarci village, Berovo, eastern North Macedonia, Crisis Management Center Director Stojanche Angelov said Tuesday. Debar – The Debar interior department will file charges against two persons from the village of Ame under the suspicion of arson. “Police teams conducted an inspection after a fire was reported late yesterday at a field in the area of Ame. Two villagers, aged 47 and 37, were found starting a fire while working on a field owned by another villager,” Ohrid Interior Sector Spokesperson Stefan Dimoski said on Tuesday. Pehchevo – A firefighter dispatched from Austria to help battle blazes in the Berovo region has been taken to a hospital in Skopje where he is being treated for his injuries.
