Skopje, 8 December 2024 (MIA) - North Macedonia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade urges all Macedonian nationals currently in Syria to leave the country at the earliest opportunity due to escalating security situation.  

In addition, the Ministry advises all citizens to avoid all travel to Syria. 

"There are concerns of further escalation, reducing accessibility of available options to timely leave Syria," the Ministry said in a press release.

"As always, all our capacities are put to work in assisting our nationals," the press release adds, noting that nationals can contact the Ministry via its 24/7 line at +389 75 268 736, as well as via the email address: globalsos@mfa.gov.mk.
