MFA: No Macedonian casualties in Istanbul blast, one national lightly injured in aftermath
Skopje, 14 November 2022 (MIA) - A day after yesterday's explosion in Istanbul, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and the country's diplomatic offices in Turkey have no information about Macedonian citizens who died or got hurt in the incident. The Ministry said Monday it is in constant communication with the competent authorities of Turkey and interested citizens from the country, through the Consulate General in Istanbul and the Embassy in Ankara. In the meantime, one of our citizens, who was near the incident, reported to our Consulate that she indirectly received minor injuries caused by the pushing that occurred when moving people away from the place of the explosion. We inform you that she has already returned to the country, said the MFA. Diplomatic offices remain in contact with the institutions of Turkey, as well as with concerned citizens and economic entities that organize trips to Istanbul. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicates the phone numbers which citizens can contact for any information or assistance: +905456149777 in Istanbul and +38975273732 in Skopje. dk/ik/
